Portable Antiquities in Sussex
This page is being developed so that those of you local to Sussex have as much information available to you as possible about the Portable Antiquities Scheme and its operation within Sussex, Detecnicks home area.
Our local finds liaison officer from 1st October 2007 is Laura Burnett, who is based at The Sussex Archaeological Society, Barbican House, 169 High Street, Lewes, Sussex, BN7 1YE.
Liz Andrews-Wilson who has been our FLO for the past 4 years is moving on to York and will finish at Sussex on Friday 21st September.

31st May - Chichester Museum 10.30 - 1.30
12th July-19th July National Archaeology week
12th July - Old Town Hall Museum, Hastings, 11-3 (this will probably involve some finds activities and handling as well as ID)
13th July - East Grinstead Museum 2-5
15th July - Marlipins Museum, Shoreham by Sea, 11-2 (this will probably involve a touch table for children as well as ID)
19th July - Chichester Museum 10.30 - 3.30 (again this will tie in with the museum activities which may involve other finds activities)
