About 40 years ago Ebinger developed a mine detector of which the main characteristic was the hockey stick shaped search head which proved ideal for use in difficult terrain such as narrow trenches, earth hollows or beneath tree roots.
The Trex 204 is a modern version of the "hockey stick" with enhanced characteristics.
The Trex 204 is a transmit and receive detector with precise ground compensation and audio discrimination.
It has demonstrated its capabilities when coping with severe conditions in highly mineralised ground.
The audio metal distinction of this detector allows the user to differentiate small ferrous items from larger ferrous targets. Additionally it is easy to pinpoint the position of small targets under the "bow" of the U shaped "hockey stick" search probe. The front tip of the "hockey stick" acting in the same way as the centre of a conventional search coil.
In archaeology the Trex 204 is particularly capable when searching a site. With some experience objects can be recognised by their specificc audio signals.
Offering superb pinpointing with a high sensitivity to small targets, with audio ferrous/non ferrous target ID.
